Prof. Dr. Krasae Chanawongse of Thailand, who is Chairman of the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC), an international organization working on reducing the effect of disasters in the Asia-Pacific region visited ITM University on 16 Jan 2014 and held discussions and an interactive session with the faculty and students of the University on “Higher Education, Leadership and Learning.”

Prof. Dr. Krasae Chanawongse, a medical doctor by profession, has worked tirelessly with the rural communities in Thailand to improve their access to public health service. A winner of the prestigious Ramon Magsaysay Award in community leadership in 1973, Dr. Krasae has had a long and distinguished political career. He has also contributed greatly to the advancement of higher education in Thailand and is presently Chairman, Princess Narathiwas University, Chairman of Naresuen University, Chairman of Panyapirat Institute of Management and Founder of the College of Asian Scholars in Thailand.
